Organiser (Eleanor) to talk briefly about the report and its recommendations, and our campaign goals:

Mandatory reporting of elder abuse
A dedicated, transparent reporting system
Greater funding commitments and initiatives for aged care at a state and federal level
Nationally consistent training standards
Mandate minimum staff to resident ratios/skill mix
Revamp the National Accreditation standards
Strengthen ageing-in-place related legislation, and improve palliative care services
Workforce strategies to retain and attract quality staff
Registration of Care Workers

Due to roadworks, it might be prudent to use public transport such as a tram.

We will be speaking from the pavement to accommodate mobility aid users.

We cannot affix anything to the steps, but you are welcome to assist in holding our banner, or make your own signs to bring along.
